Armstrong Adds More Partners Offering Components Compatible with TechZone Ceilings

October 27, 2010
Armstrong Ceilings announced that it has teamed with five industry partners in lighting fixtures, air diffusers, and chilled beams to create components that are pre-qualified for fit and finish in the company’s TechZone Ceiling System.

Armstrong Ceilings announced that it has teamed with five industry partners in lighting fixtures, air diffusers, and chilled beams to create components that are pre-qualified for fit and finish in the company’s TechZone Ceiling System.

TechZone is the first and only acoustical ceiling system that places lighting, including LED lights, diffusers, and sprinklers in a narrow 4 or 6 inch wide technical zone, or new chilled beam technologies in a 12 inch wide technical zone, organizing all the services in the plenum to help create an uncluttered ceiling visual.

When installed with a special TechZone yoke component, the 6 inch wide technical zone can also accommodate continuous linear lighting and air diffusers for even more of a clean, uninterrupted look.

The new partners are the Kurt Versen Company, Litecontrol, and Lunera Lighting Inc. all of which manufacture lighting fixtures; Price Industries, which manufactures air diffusers; and TROX USA Inc., which manufactures chilled beams.

The system eliminates the need for penetrations in the ceiling panels, making them more aesthetically pleasing and easier to install. Maintenance hassles and panel damage are also limited since all services are housed in the technical zone.
