The Steel Network has announced that its manufacturing facility in Durham, N.C., has successfully completed the ISO 9001:2008 certification for its quality management system effective in July. The scope of registration includes the design, manufacture and assembly of steel members, connectors and  pre-engineered systems for use in load bearing and non-load bearing cold-formed steel construction. The certificate was awarded by NSF International Strategic Registrations Ltd., an ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board accredited registrar.

This certification is a significant event within the light gauge steel manufacturing industry, as TSN is the first manufacturer of light gauge steel studs and connectors to achieve ISO 9001:2008 certification for its quality management system.
