The NexgenPlanks are composite fiberglass 1½-inch-by-9½-inch scaffold planks to compete with wood and LVL planks. The product uses no natural resource (wood) and can save more than 25 percent per each truckload ordered do to the weight of our planks compared to wood giving less carbon footprint. The planks weigh 2.9 pounds per foot. The planks can be cut just as with wood, can be nailed has none of the inherent problems that wood has (rot, termite, crack, split, etc.). The product comes with a five-year shape and corrosion warranty and is manufactured just as a permanent structural product would be for off shore oil rigs, industrial plants, etc. Its fire retardant properties can immediately self-extinguish itself once a constant flame that has been touching the plank is removed.
