METALCON Names Giving Back Initiative to Atlanta Charity
Since 1994, METALCON International’s annual Giving Back initiative has met its goal of donating goods, services, and funds to non-profit organizations and worthy causes local to the show’s site. Past recipients of METALCON’s generous efforts include “Homes for Our Troops” which provides new steel homes for local disabled soldiers and their families.
METALCON 2013 announced this year’s initiative recipient: Atlanta-founded and -based It’s The Journey Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and the producers of the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer. The annual walk takes place on October 5-6, 2013, just two days after the conclusion of METALCON 2013.
This year’s METALCON will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center in Downtown Atlanta, Oct. 1-3.
The trade event has set a donation goal of $25,000. With full participation by all exhibitors, attendees, speakers, vendors and staff, the funds goal will be easily achieved. Please continue to be a part of METALCON’S on-going commitment to Giving Back and by pledging time and money.
