The Florida Building Commission, which met earlier this morning in Daytona Beach, Fla., approved a stucco related declaratory statement officially requested by Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) President-Elect Ray Puzzitiello and strongly supported by the FHBA and the Florida Lath and Plaster Bureau.

The declaratory statement clarifies that when stucco is applied per ASTM C926 as permitted under the Exception to Section R703.6.4, compliance with the minimum application intervals between stucco coats is not required. This declaration is effective immediately.

Thanks to the building commission for the favorable clarification.
