USG Corporation has earned GreenGuard Gold certification for more than 200 low-emitting products through the UL Environment program.

The GreenGuard Certification program, part of the UL Environment business unit of Underwriters Laboratories, requires compliance to stringent emissions standards that are broadly recognized and accepted by sustainable building programs and building codes around the world. GreenGuard certification helps consumers choose building materials with lower VOC emissions, which improves indoor air quality.

“USG is committed to reducing our environmental footprint and giving our customers high-quality, safe building materials,” said Al Zucco, senior director, Sustainability and Energy, USG Corporation. “We rigorously test each of our products and share that information to help our customers make informed decisions about the materials that create the places where we live, work and play.”

New Product Attribute Reports (PARs) are also available on usg.com, providing comprehensive environmental and health safety information to help architects, builders and contractors understand a product’s life-cycle impacts.
