The United Soccer Leagues announced it has entered a multi-year partnership with Western Specialty Contractors, which will make the largest network of specialty contractors in the United States the Official Stadium Restoration Supplier for all related properties, including the United Soccer League, USL’s Division III, the Premier Development League (PDL) and the Super Y League. Western Specialty Contractors becomes the latest member of the USL’s Preferred Supplier Program, which has grown rapidly alongside the league to provide high-caliber services to the league and its clubs.
Established in 1915, Western’s goal has been to provide masonry, concrete and waterproofing solutions that will stand the test of time. The organization’s unrivaled standards mean its customers can count on Western as a reliable, long-term partner that produces outstanding work every time. With over 30 branch offices nationwide, Western’s skilled workers provide services that prevent elemental damage to concrete or appropriate restoration when deterioration has occurred, something that is paramount to the longevity of buildings, balconies and plaza decks.
“We are excited to bring on Western Specialty Contractors as the newest member of the Preferred Supplier Program,” said USL President Jake Edwards. “Western has spent more than a century restoring buildings, and more importantly, performing routine maintenance measures that prevent large scale damages. Whether it’s recoating the concrete in the concourse or sealing a leak in the locker room, Western’s vast experience will be a great asset for our clubs, especially those that play in older venues.”
The USL will oversee the expansion of an estimated 30–40 new franchises at the second and third divisions of professional soccer over the next five years, which will create opportunities for potential suppliers and vendors to support this growth.
Through its Preferred Supplier Program, the USL connects suppliers with new franchise owners and existing USL clubs in order to deliver the best possible experience for fans across North America. Preferred suppliers are “Best in Class” companies that provide services and products to professional franchises and stadium developers and must meet the USL’s strict quality standards. The USL is currently in discussions with suppliers that support stadium development, as well as the buildout of team front offices and operations.
