The partners with acclaimed architectural practice RKTB have announced the promotion of Dawne David-Pierre, AIA, NOMA, LEED AP, to the role of Associate.

“Dawne joined us in 2016, and became an essential and indispensable part of our team almost overnight,” said Carmi Bee, FAIA, president and principal in charge of design for RKTB. “Her talent and skill by themselves would have earned her this promotion, but she also brings to the job a passion for the hard work and a dedication to improving people’s lives through architecture, a combination that aligns neatly with our team’s mission and vision.”

Bee and partner Peter Bafitis, AIA, anticipate that in her new role David-Pierre will capitalize on the opportunities afforded her to deliver on client goals and further enhance the reputation of RKT —already a fixture in the New York metropolitan area building and design community—as a design leader and innovator.

With over twenty years of professional experience, David-Pierre’s diverse portfolio ranges from design of residential, academic and healthcare projects to feasibility studies and master planning.

Her most notable recent work with RKTB is leading the firm's team as Architect of Record for The Dahlia, an innovative luxury high-rise condominium currently under construction on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. David-Pierre also brings to her work a dedication to environmentally responsible practices, holistic methodologies and innovative technologies, which she applies to shape the built environment and provide services to underserved communities.

“Working with the professionals at RKTB, what comes through every day is a shared love of great design and its potential to make a positive impact on individual lives and on whole communities,” said David-Pierre. “I’m honored to have been offered a chance to contribute even more to the firm’s work, and its storied legacy.”
