Warm and comfortable, the rustic style can be just as at home in a farmhouse setting as an urban dwelling. Ornamental Moulding and Millwork has created several product lines that help homeowners easily “go rustic” in any room of the home.

“Right now people are passionate about adding rustic touches throughout the home,” says Keith Early, vice president of marketing and new product development at Ornamental Moulding and Millwork. “Whether it’s going ‘all in’ with wooden beams on the ceiling or simply adding a mantel or shelf, homeowners are really going rustic with interior accents.

“With many people confined at home these days, adding mouldings and millwork is a great DIY venture. These lightweight pieces make for a rewarding home improvement project.”

Rustic Moulding Collection

Early encourages homeowners to add warmth to a room by installing rich Ambrosia Maple casing, crown, base and chair rail mouldings. Each piece features an insert replicating a hammered wrought iron appearance for extra distinction.

The Ambrosia Maple pieces feature distinctive gray hued bores that run with the grain of the wood to provide a unique coloration and texture. Finish these exceptional wood features with a clear coat or stain to match existing décor or to create a stand-out decorative statement in a room.

The wrought iron-looking insert in each piece of moulding is made from wood and pre-painted. Designed to blend with any design style from contemporary to farmhouse to mid-century modern, the mouldings can be used together in a room or individually as accent pieces.

Rustic Beams

One of the most impressive ways to add rustic charm to a room is to install lightweight Rustic Beams to ceilings in kitchens, family rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms.Whether it’s straight beams or a unique coffered-style pattern, Rustic Beams can be tackled as a DIY project.

Available in both Ambrosia Maple and Prefinished Gray, the eight-foot-long hollow beams are easy to install. Made of real wood, the U-shaped beams come with mounting plates and hardware needed for the installation. Measure, cut-to-size, affix the mounting plate and then install the beam to the plate. Those are the only steps needed to add architectural style to any room.

Ornamental Moulding and Millwork also offers black wrought iron decorative brackets to match the height and width of different beam sizes to help create an even more rustic look on the ceiling.

Rustic Mantels and Floating Shelves

Achieve a “touch of rustic” by adding the easy-to-install Ambrosia Maple Rustic Mantel Shelf to different areas of the home. The shelf can be used as both a stand-alone floating shelf and as a fireplace mantel.

Each impressive piece stands 4-3/4-inches tall and has a depth of seven inches. The same Ambrosia Maple wood, with its distinctive graining, brings designer appeal into the home. The mantel shelves come in two versions: with and without black wrought iron decorative trim, and are available in three-, four-, five- and six-foot lengths.

Lightweight and easy-to-install in just minutes, each shelf comes with a mounting cleat, wall screws, finish nails and instruction sheet. There’s also a step-by-step video included on the Ornamental Moulding and Millwork website.

Rustic S4S Decorative Boards

To add the final touch to a rustic room setting, S4S Decorative Boards can be used to cover an entire wall or used to create a shelf! Available with deep wood graining, the boards come in a variety of rustic profiles and sizes. Every board is 7/16-inches in thickness and eight-feet long.

S4S Decorative Boards come in widths of 1-1/2-, 3-1/2- and 5-1/2-inches. Their clean appearance adds a rustic richness to the home.

Ornamental Moulding & Millwork manufactures a wide array of decorative wood mouldings and accessories.
