At the 2023 AWCI Opening Session Breakfast, Compass Construction Vice President Brent Allen was honored with the Pinnacle Award. The AWCI Pinnacle Award is given to an individual who most merits the industry’s highest recognition. The recipient of this award has given time and energy unselfishly for the benefit of AWCI and the industry, and they exhibit family dedication and commitment to community.

Family, friends, colleagues and industry personnel—including contractors from MAREK Bros., TJ Wies Contracting and even retired AWCI Executive Director Steve Etkin—laid testament to Allen’s outstanding contribution to the industry during a video feature.

“This award is as much yours as it is mine,” Allen said. “And yes, this was a surprise,” referencing family who tried to keep this as much of a secret as possible.
