U.S.-based Firestable Insulation Company is expanding its insulation market reach with the release of Stablebase 2.0 Max R and Stablebase 0.5 Max Yield spray polyurethane foam products.

Building on its recent release of Firestable FS 2.0, the first-of-its-kind, National Fire Protection Association-275 certified, single-application SPF and all-in-one true thermal barrier, Firestable Insulation is launching two more innovative, environmentally friendly products.

Stablebase 2.0 Max R is a two-component, next-generation hydrofluoroolefins-blown, closed-cell, spray-applied polyurethane foam system. Stablebase 2.0 HFO technology features a low Global Warming Potential of less than two with an Ozone Depletion Potential of zero. Stablebase 2.0 is an insulation system designed for use in commercial and residential applications with world-class features:

  • Industry-leading 7.5 R-value with increased thermal performance, reducing operating energy costs.
  • Ultra-fast re-occupancy period.
  • Sprayed down to 20 degrees Fahrenheit ambient temperature.
  • Optimized design for enhanced hybrid use with Firestable FS 2.0.

Stablebase 0.5 Max Yield is a two-component, one-to-one, open-cell, spray-applied polyurethane foam. It is a high-yield, low-density, no-mix, insulation foam, which contains zero ozone-depleting blowing agents and is designed to provide exceptional thermal performance and significant control of air infiltration as an air-barrier assembly. Stablebase 0.5 is an insulation system designed for use in commercial and residential applications with world-class features:

  • Industry-leading yield – more board feet; uses less material and saves money.
  • Ultra-fast re-occupancy period.
  • No mix formula – saves prep time.
  • One hundred percent water-blown blowing agents – better for the environment.
  • Optimized design for enhanced hybrid use with Firestable FS 2.0.

The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials Evaluation Services, which establishes codes and standards for the industry, has issued product listings to Firestable Insulation for Stablebase 2.0 Max R closed-cell foam and Stablebase 0.5 Max Yield open-cell foam for its compliance to International Building Code AC-377.

“We are excited to have the support and backing of an official IAMPO listing for our next two innovative products,” said Rick Barone, executive vice president of Firestable Insulation. “These SPF products are representative of our continued commitment to the worldwide mission for improved, eco-friendly products to address extreme climate change. Both improve residential, commercial, industrial and building envelope efficiency and costs while spurring industry growth with better value due to using less material and also achieves the same, if not better, end results.”

Stablebase products have industry-leading credentials in the spray foam insulation world; high yields; extremely high R-values; air, vapor and water barrier functionality; and the shortest approved re-occupation times. As an added and significant benefit, when used as a base foam in concert with Firestable FS 2.0, the result is an increase in yields.

“We worked hard to optimize these products to outperform others when combined with our Firestable FS 2.0 NFPA-275 thermal barrier foam,” stated Tyler Boehs, Firestable Insulation’s Vice President of Sales. “Acting as a base foam in a hybrid system, either Stablebase product actually increases yields up to 10 percent of the system, providing better value, faster installs and unmatched safety all in one.”
