Ware Malcomb announced Feb. 13 that it has appointed four senior team members to a newly created leadership role called “practice leader” to further diversify business and support dedicated market-specific capabilities across the Americas: Luciana Arim for science and technology, Kate Lyle for industrial cold and food, Anthony Simon for retail and Charles Swanson for multifamily.

“Elevating practice leaders represents a natural evolution of our overall leadership structure that strengthens our internal teams and further diversifies our business in these disciplines in all Ware Malcomb offices,” said Matt Brady, executive vice president. “Our practice leaders help our offices provide streamlined delivery of services and firm-wide resources for these types of projects.”

Arim, who is practice leader and director of science and technology and is based in Pleasanton, California, is responsible for Ware Malcomb’s growing S&T practice. The firm is ranked No. 23 among A/E firms for this building type. Ware Malcomb has decades of science and technology experience and has designed a wide array of projects, including science, pharma and technology, from R&D to over one-million-square-foot manufacturing facilities. Its leaders have authored numerous industry articles on the unique considerations for designing spaces for science and technology. In addition, the firm recently completed an award-winning redevelopment project for Precision Labs in Germantown, Maryland.
