Milwaukee Helps Mitigate Heat on the Job Site with New Cooling Solutions

June 29, 2024

Milwaukee Tool expanded its personal protective equipment lineup with a new Cooling category, providing solutions to help heat stress concerns on the job site. Including a skull cap, sweat bands for both safety helmets and hard hats, a safety helmet liner and two cooling towels, the new category helps users stay cool while working in sunlight or non-ventilated areas.

Hazardous heat exposure can occur indoors or outdoors and during any season, putting millions of workers at risk for heat stress. Heat stress occurs when the body cannot effectively cool down, causing the internal body temperature to rise, which can lead to illnesses, such as heat exhaustion or heat stroke. To build awareness of the hazards of heat stress and how to keep users safe, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration launched a Heat Emphasis program in April 2022. Using cooling measures, such as Milwaukee’s new cooling solutions, can help mitigate heat stress from hazardous heat exposure.

The new cooling towels and BOLT accessories are quickly activated by running or submerging under water, achieving full absorption in only 30 seconds. When activated, the heat stress solutions wick away moisture and heat for up to four hours of cooling time, providing a natural cooling sensation as the water evaporates. Once dry, users can repeat the activation process.

Milwaukee Tool’s new cooling solutions demonstrate its focus on creating innovative solutions that won’t slow users down, helping them stay safe and productive.

BOLT Cooling Skull Cap

Compatible with Milwaukee’s safety helmets and hard hats, the new Cooling Skull Cap features microfiber technology and four-way stretch material for long-lasting comfort. Part of the BOLT accessory system, users can secure accessories simultaneously to their Milwaukee head protection.

BOLT Safety Helmet Cooling Liner

Compatible with Milwaukee’s safety helmets, the Safety Helmet Cooling Liner provides long-lasting comfort with its soft, comfortable padding. The liner is part of the BOLT accessory system, so users can secure accessories simultaneously to their Milwaukee head protection.

BOLT Hard Hat Cooling Sweat Band and BOLT Safety Helmet Sweat Band

Specifically designed to be compatible with either Milwaukee’s hard hats or safety helmets, the two Cooling Sweat Bands feature soft, comfortable padding for long-lasting comfort. Both sweat bands are part of the BOLT accessory system, allowing users to secure accessories simultaneously to their Milwaukee head protection.

Microfiber Cooling Towel and PVA Cooling Towel

Milwaukee’s Microfiber Cooling Towel is designed to be worn both indoors and outdoors to keep cool on the job site. For added protection, both the Microfiber Cooling Towel and PVA Cooling Towel feature a UPF 50+ rating to block harmful UV rays.
