In this special episode of If Walls Could Talk, Walls & Ceilings Associate Editor Michael Levitt speaks with Lisa Banks of Cincinnati Interiors. The company is on the cover of W&C’s August issue and has been working with ceilings and acoustics for over 30 years.

Banks, the firm’s president, had previously been an accountant but joined Cincinnati Interiors to help her husband run his new company. Other family members, including a daughter and son-in-law, have also become involved in the business.

While the company, like others in the industry, has some trouble finding enough workers, it has a program in place to help those it finds become acquainted with the firm’s methods and, over time, grow their careers. The company is also looking beyond the present, helping its future leaders learn about its decision-making process.
