TecTrac Showcases the Craft and Collaboration Behind Wallcovering Excellence
TecTrac 2025 united wallcovering professionals, union members, and designers to celebrate craftsmanship, collaboration, and training as key to elevating quality and shaping the industry’s future.

In August, the Wallcovering Association brought together professionals from across the industry for TecTrac, a two-day educational and networking event held at the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 21 Training Center in Philadelphia. The event united union members, manufacturers, designers, and suppliers to celebrate the precision, skill, and artistry that define the wallcovering trade.
Through hands-on workshops, interactive discussions and collaborative demonstrations, attendees explored how wallcovering shapes spaces far beyond aesthetics. Participants worked side by side with experienced installers, gaining insight into sustainability, product innovation, and the craftsmanship that ensures lasting quality.
For IUPAT members and trainers, TecTrac reaffirmed the importance of apprenticeship programs and ongoing education—core pillars of the union’s commitment to excellence. Visitors witnessed firsthand the rigorous training apprentices receive and experienced the hands-on learning that defines the trade.
TecTrac’s message was clear: professionalism, collaboration, and quality are non-negotiable. Through shared dialogue on challenges like increasing demand and tighter timelines, attendees explored solutions that strengthen the industry and elevate standards.
For the IUPAT, the event was an opportunity to demonstrate leadership in shaping the future of the wallcovering industry. It showcased how skilled, well-trained installers not only deliver exceptional results but also build trust and confidence among clients.
As the wallcovering industry evolves—with new materials, sustainability goals, and shifting customer expectations—TecTrac underscored that adaptation means raising standards, not lowering them. The event concluded with renewed enthusiasm and shared pride in the craft, reminding everyone that the strength of the trade lies in its people—and that when it comes to wallcovering, "doing it right matters most."
