Cornerstone Building Partners with GRAMMY Award-Winning Trio Lady A to Donate $50,000 to Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity
Partnership advances affordable housing during a season centered on family, homes, gratitude and giving.

Cornerstone Building Brands Inc. and LadyAID, the philanthropic effort founded by GRAMMY Award-winning country trio Lady A, have pledged a donation of $50,000 in Ply Gem windows and Mastic by Ply Gem vinyl siding to Habitat for Humanity’s Rockford, Illinois affiliate to support affordable housing in the Rockford community. In addition, Cornerstone Building Brands is contributing $10,000 to support LadyAID’s local, national and global initiatives.
This product donation builds on Cornerstone Building Brands’ commitment to help families access safe, affordable housing through its Home for Good project. The second of its kind, this year’s donation coincides with Lady A’s first-ever holiday tour, which includes a Rockford, Ill., performance on December 12. Cornerstone Building Brands is proud to contribute to Lady A’s tour-wide giving effort, through which the band is supporting a different local organization in each city along the tour.
“Building stronger communities is at the heart of who we are at Cornerstone Building Brands,” said Gunner Smith, Chief Executive Officer. “Through our Home for Good project, we’re proud to donate Ply Gem windows and Mastic vinyl siding — trusted brands that deliver quality and durability — to Habitat for Humanity Rockford. Together with Habitat for Humanity and Lady A, we’re helping families achieve the dream of safe, affordable homes and making a lasting impact where it matters most.”
As ambassadors for the company’s Home for Good project since 2024, Lady A has helped Cornerstone Building Brands raise awareness of the affordable housing crisis while rolling up their sleeves in support of its mission. From helping make critical repairs that improved the safety and comfort of an elderly couple’s home in Murfreesboro, TN, to supporting rebuild efforts in their home states of Georgia and Tennessee after Hurricanes Helene and Milton, this partnership is about action as much as awareness.
“We’ve seen firsthand how a safe, affordable home can change the trajectory of a family,” said Keri Asevedo, executive director of the Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity. “This contribution of windows and siding will help us deliver durable, energy-efficient solutions that improve comfort, reduce energy costs and support long-term stability for Rockford families. We’re grateful to Cornerstone Building Brands and Lady A for their support of our mission.”
Lady A’s Hillary Scott shared, “Home has always been at the heart of our music and our lives. We’re honored to partner with Cornerstone Building Brands and Habitat for Humanity to lift up families in Rockford. As we visit each city on our holiday tour, it means a lot to connect the spirit of the holiday season with giving back locally.”
Cornerstone Building Brands’ Home for Good project represents a company-wide commitment to strengthening communities through affordable housing and volunteerism. Since 2016, Cornerstone Building Brands has donated more than $4.1 million in products and resources to help build or remodel 825 homes across more than 150 scommunities nationwide. The company’s Connecting Communities program further extends this impact through employee-led volunteerism, contributing more than $250,000 and more than 4,000 volunteer hours to support communities across North America.
