National Gypsum Pledges $1 Million to Boost STEM Education Across North America
Through its annual NGC Giving program, National Gypsum is donating $1 million to support STEM learning initiatives in 40 schools and nonprofits across the U.S. and Canada.

National Gypsum is investing in the next generation of innovators with a $1 million donation to 40 schools and nonprofit organizations in the United States and Canada, part of its fifth annual NGC Giving program. The initiative supports programs that provide science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education to students in communities where National Gypsum associates live and work.
In the weeks leading up to Giving Tuesday, associates from Gold Bond Building Products, LLC, Gold Bond Canada, Ltd., PermaBASE Building Products, LLC, ProForm Finishing Products, LLC, and Unifix Inc. nominated organizations that have made meaningful impacts in their local communities. Each selected program is recognized for contributing significantly to students’ learning and educational growth.
Since its inception, the NGC Giving program has expanded its reach, supporting a wider array of educational initiatives, enrichment activities, and professional training in engineering, manufacturing, architecture, and skilled trades.
“These education initiatives are essential in equipping the next generation with the skills and knowledge to become innovative leaders,” said Thomas C. Nelson, chairman, president, and CEO of National Gypsum Company. “By strengthening STEM education, these programs prepare a workforce ready to tackle tomorrow’s challenges. We’re proud to support the organizations making a lasting impact in our communities.”
The 2025 donations will benefit communities in 19 U.S. states—including Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Texas—as well as the Canadian provinces of Quebec and Nova Scotia.
