McElroy Metal has acquired Fabral, a Lancaster, Pa.-based manufacturer of metal wall and roof systems, expanding its footprint in the cladding and exterior envelope market.
Fabral will continue operating independently under its current leadership, including President Dennis Merino. Financial terms were not disclosed.
“Our top priority is continuity,” said Ian McElroy, president of McElroy Metal. “This combination brings together two strong, values-aligned organizations while preserving the people, service, and relationships that matter most.”
Fabral, founded in 1967, supplies metal wall panels, roofing systems and related components for commercial, industrial and agricultural projects nationwide.
Merino said customers and vendors can expect continuity in operations, “now supported by the long-term strength and resources of McElroy Metal.”
McElroy Metal, founded in 1963 and headquartered in Bossier City, La., operates 14 manufacturing facilities across the United States and produces metal roofing, siding and related building products.
Lilli Tillman Smith, an analyst at Principia, said the acquisition reflects continued consolidation in the metal building products sector. She said the combined company may offer broader regional coverage and product availability for contractors and distributors, while increasing competitive pressure on smaller manufacturers.
Because Fabral will retain its leadership and operate independently, Smith said the deal is unlikely to result in significant short-term disruption for customers.
