Specified Technologies Inc. has relaunched its Smoke N Sound acoustical spray with formulation updates designed to improve application control, build consistency and finish quality.

The spray is used to seal gaps, seams and openings in non-fire-rated wall, floor and ceiling assemblies to help control smoke migration and reduce sound transmission. According to the company, the updated formulation offers improved viscosity and hangability, allowing installers to apply thicker coatings and better cover uneven mineral wool and irregular substrates.

The revised spray is designed to work across a wider range of spray pressures and tip sizes, providing greater flexibility during installation. The formulation also maintains crack resistance to support long-term performance.

Smoke N Sound spray is intended for contractors installing acoustical and smoke-sealing treatments in commercial and institutional construction. The product is part of Specified Technologies’ portfolio of passive fire and smoke protection systems used to limit the movement of smoke, sound and gases through building assemblies.
