National Gypsum Launches NGi AI Assistant and Adds User Profiles in Website Update
NGi and user profiles aim to improve product research, technical access and workflow for architects, contractors and distributors.

National Gypsum Co. announced enhancements to its website platform, including the launch of National Gypsum Intelligence, an artificial intelligence–powered assistant designed to help users move from technical questions to product decisions more quickly.
The company also introduced User Profiles, a new feature that allows visitors to save and organize technical resources. National Gypsum says the two updates are intended to simplify product selection, provide cited answers to technical questions and create a more personalized experience for architects, contractors and distributors.
Now available on the homepage of nationalgypsum.com, NGi combines artificial intelligence with the company’s technical documentation and internal expertise to provide real-time answers and recommendations.
According to the company, NGi helps users compare systems, review performance and compliance information, and locate supporting documentation. The tool references published technical materials and content curated by company experts.
The company describes NGi as part of its broader digital strategy to improve access to technical information and accelerate product research during project planning and specification.
Key Features of NGi:
- Faster information retrieval: Real-time assistance reduces the need to search multiple pages for technical content.
- Cited responses: NGi links responses to the source materials used to generate guidance.
- Role-based recommendations: The tool surfaces submittals, sustainability documentation, design resources and installation guidance based on user needs.
- Expert-curated content: Guidance draws on materials developed by the company’s 1-800-NATIONAL Construction Services team, construction design managers, product managers for Gold Bond, PermaBASE, ProForm and DEXcell, and field sales representatives.
User Profiles: Saving and Organizing Technical Resources
The new User Profiles feature allows visitors to create a secure account to store product pages and technical documents.
National Gypsum says the feature is intended to help users manage project documentation and reduce repeated searches for commonly used resources. Saved materials automatically reflect the latest versions when technical documents are updated on the website.
Features of User Profiles:
- Save and bookmark resources: Users can store product pages, submittals, sustainability documentation and installation guides.
- Organize documents: Technical resources can be kept in a single account for easier retrieval.
- Automatic updates: Saved documents reflect the latest versions when content is revised on the website.
- Reduced repeat searching: Users can quickly return to previously saved materials.
“NGi brings the strength of National Gypsum’s experts to every customer interaction,” said Bo Hussey, director of brand marketing for National Gypsum Company. “By combining AI with our own intelligence, we’re simplifying product selection and delivering cited answers to technical questions. User Profiles give customers the ability to personalize and streamline their experience.”
Architects, contractors and distributors can access NGi and create User Profiles at nationalgypsum.com.
