Sto Corp., the innovative world leader in building envelope solutions including wall cladding systems, air barriers, coatings, and restoration systems, announces the expansion of its StoVentec® Fiber Cement Rainscreen® System color palette with the addition of the Mezzo collection. The expanded offering now includes three curated color collections and 17 total color options, giving architects and designers greater flexibility when creating distinctive façade designs.

StoVentec Fiber Cement is a complete ventilated rainscreen cladding system engineered by Sto to integrate seamlessly with all exterior wall components, providing enhanced performance, durability, and design versatility.

The three new Mezzo colors introduce subtle tonal variations inspired by natural materials. Ranging from light brown to dark gray, the additions complement contemporary architectural palettes while maintaining the balanced, organic character that defines the Mezzo collection. The panels feature through-body pigmentation, ensuring consistent color throughout the panel for improved durability and long-lasting aesthetics.

With the expanded palette, StoVentec Fiber Cement now offers three distinctive color collections:

  • Primara Line: A grey-bodied panel with an opaque surface finish and a smooth texture with a lightly sanded grain.
  • Mezzo Line: A refined collection blending organic texture with modern simplicity, featuring balanced tones and smooth finishes.
  • Strata Line: Panels with pigmented bodies and ultra-smooth finishes that create a sleek, contemporary aesthetic.

Beyond aesthetics, StoVentec Fiber Cement is designed to deliver high-performance building envelope protection. The rainscreen system integrates noncombustible continuous insulation, a robust air and water-resistive barrier, engineered sub-construction, and high-density fiber cement panels, providing durability and long-term weather resistance.

To accommodate diverse design preferences, StoVentec Fiber Cement panels are available with both concealed and visible fastening options, allowing architects to achieve either clean, uninterrupted panel surfaces or a more expressive façade aesthetic.

Sto also commissioned extensive testing to evaluate the durability of StoVentec Fiber Cement panels. Independent testing assessed indentation resistance, small hard-body impacts, and large soft-body impacts, demonstrating strong performance against everyday building impacts and wear scenarios.

For design professionals seeking streamlined specification and coordination, StoVentec Fiber Cement systems are also available in BIM, enabling architects to integrate the system directly into digital building models for improved project planning and documentation.

“StoVentec Fiber Cement continues to evolve to meet the design and performance expectations of today’s architects,” said Karine Galla, Director of Product Management. “The expanded color collections, combined with flexible fastening options and proven durability, provide architects with a rainscreen solution that delivers both creative freedom and reliable performance.”

Panels are available in standard sizes up to 4’ x 10’ and thicknesses of 8–10 mm and can be installed horizontally or vertically in stacked or staggered layouts to create custom patterns and façade expressions.
