KEEN Utility’s KS86 Work Sneaker
Lightweight carbon-toe work sneaker delivers energy return, grip and jobsite-ready support.

KEEN Utility introduces the KS86 work sneaker for Spring 2026, adapting a trail-runner platform to meet jobsite demands. The design prioritizes reduced weight and sustained mobility for crews logging long hours on concrete, scaffolding and uneven substrates.
The KS86 integrates a carbon safety toe to reduce fatigue compared to traditional steel while maintaining impact protection. A KEEN ReGEN midsole is engineered to return up to 50 percent energy per step, a feature aimed at minimizing cumulative strain during repetitive movement across large commercial interiors.
Underfoot, an oil- and slip-resistant rubber outsole with a lugged tread pattern is designed to improve traction on dusty floors, wet surfaces and debris-prone areas typical of active buildouts. This has direct implications for fall risk mitigation, particularly during material handling and ceiling grid installation where stable footing is critical.
The sneaker-style construction provides all-day support similar to trail footwear, which may appeal to drywall finishers, ceiling installers and foremen covering extensive square footage daily. The KS86 is offered in men’s and women’s sizing with multiple color options.
