Own Your 2026: The Ultimate Trade Show Playbook
Trade shows are one of the smartest ways to grow your business in 2026, and this Convention Companion issue is designed to help you attend with purpose, plan ahead, and make the right connections.

In my last Publisher’s Post, I shared something a mentor once told me that has stayed with me ever since: once you’re out of school, the two things that change your perspective in life are the people you meet and the books you read.
Trade shows are exactly what we all should have on our schedules. If you want to grow your business in 2026, showing up matters, and how you show up matters even more. These events aren’t just about walking the floor or checking a box on your calendar. They’re about intentionally placing yourself in rooms where conversations spark new ideas and education challenges how you think about running your company. That’s why this issue of Walls & Ceilings is our Convention Companion, a resource designed to help you plan your year with purpose.
The industry calendar is full of opportunity, including cornerstone events, such as the EIFS Industry Members Association, BUILD26 and the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance Convention & Expo. Each brings together contractors, manufacturers, and experts who are deeply invested in elevating our industry and helping you build a stronger business. Inside this issue, you’ll find a complete list of trade shows and industry events taking place throughout 2026. Think of it as a planning tool, not just a calendar.
My challenge to you is simple: Don’t attend accidentally. Attend on purpose. Before you register, ask yourself:
- Who do I need to meet this year to grow as a leader?
- Which education sessions will help me run my business better?
- What problems am I trying to solve, and who might already have the answers?
Every one of these events puts significant time and energy into education because learning from others, especially those who’ve been in your shoes, accelerates growth. When you pair the right conversations with the right education, perspective shifts happen.
Use this Convention Companion issue to plan ahead. Block the time. Study the education tracks. And most importantly, be intentional about the people you’re meeting while you’re there.
If you see me at any of these events, please introduce yourself. Staying true to the idea that the people we meet shape our perspective, I’m committed to meeting new faces, hearing new stories, and learning alongside you. Let’s gain new perspectives together.
