Kingspan has been named to USA TODAY’s America’s Climate Leaders 2026 list for the second consecutive year, recognizing U.S. companies that achieved significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions intensity between 2022 and 2024.
The building materials manufacturer said it reduced its core greenhouse gas emissions by 31.08% year over year as part of its Planet Passionate sustainability program.
Kingspan Insulated Panels North America reported 2,779 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent in Scope 1 and 2 emissions in 2024, a 13.5% reduction from its 2020 baseline. The company also reported using 8.3 gigawatt-hours of direct renewable energy, including 2.62 gigawatt-hours generated onsite.
“The work is ongoing, and we remain focused on driving further reductions across our business and value chain,” Brent Trenga, director of sustainability for Kingspan Insulated Panels North America, said in a statement.
USA TODAY’s America’s Climate Leaders list recognizes companies reducing emissions relative to revenue. Kingspan operates in more than 80 countries and manufactures insulated metal panels for commercial, industrial and architectural applications.
