RIMA to Lead Insulation Workshop at METALCON 2026
The Oct. 7 session will examine reflective insulation, radiant barriers, condensation control and energy performance in metal building assemblies.
The Reflective Insulation Manufacturers Association International will present an educational workshop on reflective insulation and radiant barriers during METALCON 2026 in Orlando, Fla.
The session, “Reflective Insulation & Radiant Barriers in Metal Building Design: Solving Real-World Thermal, Moisture, and Energy Challenges,” is scheduled for noon Wednesday, Oct. 7, the opening day of the conference. METALCON will take place Oct. 7-9 at the Orange County Convention Center.
Industry professionals Dante Ferrari, Philip Ramstack and Kelly Myers will lead the workshop, which is intended for architects, engineers, contractors and other metal building professionals.
The session will address thermal and moisture-control challenges associated with metal buildings, including conductive assemblies, temperature fluctuations, radiant heat transfer and condensation risk. Presenters also will discuss how reflective insulation and radiant barrier systems can be used alongside traditional mass insulation in metal roofs, walls and HVAC applications.
According to RIMA International, the program will combine building-science principles, code-recognized applications and project examples to help attendees evaluate insulation strategies and long-term building performance.
Topics will include the fundamentals of radiant heat transfer, methods for managing condensation and the role reflective insulation can play in improving energy efficiency and controlling operating costs.
