Climit Adds Weather Forecasting, Heat Index Tools
The construction monitoring platform’s new features provide seven-day jobsite forecasts and automated heat-index records for Cal/OSHA compliance.

Climit has introduced two features designed to help construction teams plan weather-sensitive work and document jobsite heat conditions.
The platform now provides seven-day weather forecasts for individual projects using data from the National Weather Service. Contractors can view forecast high and low temperatures within Climit rather than checking separate weather services for each jobsite.
The forecasts are intended to help project teams schedule concrete pours, installations and other activities affected by temperature and weather conditions.
“Contractors don’t need another website to check,” said Scott Banda, co-founder and CEO of Climit. “They need quick access to information that changes how they run their day.”
Climit also launched Heat Index Recording, which uses cellular-connected sensors to measure and record conditions hourly across multiple areas of a construction site or warehouse. The system creates continuous, timestamped records that can be viewed through a central dashboard or mobile device.
The feature was developed in part to support compliance with California’s indoor heat-illness regulations. The company said the records can support an employer’s written Indoor Heat Illness Prevention Plan and provide documentation during inspections or internal safety reviews.
Additional capabilities include multi-zone monitoring, historical trend analysis and acclimatization tracking for new or returning workers.
“Heat compliance has historically meant someone on the team manually logging temperatures and hoping the paperwork holds up,” said Patrick Mullins, co-founder and chief operating officer of Climit.
Both features are available to current Climit customers. The company noted that its monitoring platform is intended to supplement, not replace, required heat-illness prevention plans, employee training and other Cal/OSHA program requirements.
