Parksite, Inc. announced effective immediately they will market, fabricate and distribute the full-line of Therma-Tru doors into the Minnesota marketplace, including the thriving Minneapolis area out of their Fargo, ND facility.  

Established in 1854 near the banks of the Red River in a small town called Lebanon, Okla., sat an abandoned, two-story brick structure that once served as a boarding school for Chickasaw Nation girls, an orphanage, then as a manual labor school where Chickasaw children learned agriculture, horticulture, homemaking, sewing, knitting, cooking and housekeeping.  Steeped in Chickasaw history, the structure, named the Burney Institute, had fallen into disrepair when it was abandoned sometime after 1910.

The building project is an important addition both architecturally and academically, according to Ray Varela, architect in charge for Carrier Johnson + CULTURE. “New majors and collaborative research opportunities are housed in the new two-story science complex,” Varela adds. “This is a significant expansion to the academic space at Point Loma Nazarene University, which is known for its excellent science department and successful student placements in medical schools.”
