Solving problems of waste and limited resources, the group is among three student teams from five countries and six universities sharing $65,000 for their big green ideas winning the 2023 Wege Prize.
Honeywell Solstice LBA, a non-ozone-depleting, non-flammable, hydrofluoroolefin blowing agent, was recognized by the American Chemical Society with a 2023 ACS Heroes of Chemistry Award. Honeywell Solstice LBA has an ultra-low global warming potential of 1, 99.9 percent lower than that of hydrofluorocarbon blowing agents.
Award winners were announced by ATAS for their 2022 Project of the Year competition. There were seven award categories: commercial roofs, commercial walls, residential roofs, residential walls, accents, sustainable and interiors. Each award recognized projects in which ATAS products were incorporated into the design and construction of the building.
