Metal wall cladding continues to be a growing sector in the design and construction of both residential and commercial buildings. To assist contractors who may not be familiar with installing single skin metal wall panels, ATAS International offers installation training in three of their manufacturing locations, with a selection of several dates in 2023.
The parking garage at 3 Maple in Essex Junction, Vermont, won the first-place award in the accents category in ATAS International’s 2021 project of the year competition. Custom perforated panels in Regal Blue .125 aluminum were installed on the building.
The Mastlight at Union Point, a LEED Silver Certified apartment building, contributed to the transformative redevelopment of the former South Weymouth Naval Air Station in South Weymouth, Massachusetts. The area is now known as the vibrant mixed-use district of Union Point.
ATAS International has added another profile to their concealed fastener wall panel offering. The Design Wall Reveal is a modular wall panel series designed as a drained and back ventilated assembly. This puts an air gap and drainage plane between the panel system and structural wall, allowing wind-driven rain or moisture to escape the building envelope without entering the building.
ATAS International has added a new educational course titled “Insulated Metal Panels – Creating the Perfect All-In-One Barrier Back Up Wall System.” Insulated metal panels provide superior insulating properties and can be installed quickly.
In its sixth year, ATAS International once again sponsored the Greater Lehigh Valley Let’s Build Construction Camp for Girls. On June 23rd, Kevin Klersy, CAD Draftsman for ATAS, spent the afternoon with the campers, demonstrating the installation of standing seam metal roof panels, along with metal shingles.
ATAS International has added Omawall PL with EVO™, a new aluminum plate system. Omawall PL with EVO is an architectural plate panel, manufactured in .10 thick aluminum, is a great choice for high-end applications, and is made fully of non-combustible materials.
The new High Design Wall Flush V (DSV120) panel has been added to the existing series of four profile options. Typical applications for this panel include walls, fascia, or equipment screens.
The panels were used as exterior wall cladding on this 166-foot-tall building consisting of 10 stories (a two-story base, and an eight-story tower). They were installed by Tuschall Engineering of Burr Ridge, IL, and the architects for the project included Diller Scofidio + Renfro of New York City, and Brininstool + Lynch of Chicago. This project was the first-place winner in ATAS’ 2020 Project of the Year competition, in the commercial walls category.
