McShane Construction Company has been selected by repeat client Flournoy Development Group to build a 262-unit multifamily community in Greenville, South Carolina. The development will integrate five four-story residential buildings, a clubhouse and a maintenance building.

The construction industry added 2,000 jobs on net in November, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of data released Dec. 8 by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. On a year-over-year basis, industry employment has increased by 200,000 jobs, an increase of 2.6 percent.

The Associated General Contractors of America released April 22 a new, first-of-its-kind decarbonization playbook designed to help firms assess, track and reduce greenhouse gas emissions for the projects they build.

At this year’s annual meeting in Orlando, Florida, CISCA announced its newly formed CISCA CARES program. The program began within the last year, and the association presented the Washington Shores Elementary School in Orange County with a $2,000 check to purchase books for a summer reading program for the students.
