Sam Halverson serves the construction community as a manager in National Gypsum Company’s Construction Services department. In addition to the guidance and instruction he provides through the 1-800-NATIONAL^® technical hotline, Sam is also responsible for systems testing and is the creator of multiple highly regarded technical resources such as The PURPLE Book^®, The SoundBook^® and The Wood Book™. After receiving a bachelor of architecture degree from UNC–Charlotte, Sam worked as an architect prior to joining the National Gypsum team.
