In collaboration with the Utah Uniform Building Code Commission, Utah Home Builders Association, Representative Cal Musselman and Senator Curt Bramble, Huntsman Building Solutions helped get key energy efficiency updates integrated into Utah’s building code via the passage of House Bill 523.
The National Association of Realtors has released its 2023 Realtors and Sustainability Report – Residential, which shows that the majority of these real estate professionals (63 percent) find promoting a home’s energy efficiency very or somewhat valuable.

The software suite is being used in the architecture, city planning, real estate and home efficiency industries. Users take advantage of the suite’s energy modeling of almost all U.S. buildings.
New law will require jurisdictions to update to the 2021 International Residential Code and the 2021 International Energy Conservation Code

In June, Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards signed House Bill 803 into law requiring the statewide adoption of the 2021 International Energy Conservation Code and the 2021 International Residential Code Chapter 11 Energy Efficiency. The Louisiana legislature had previously cleared the bill unanimously.
