The globally active architecture firm gmp, which has branches worldwide, has announced its selection by jury in an international competition for the construction of a new university campus in Wuxi, China. The new university, which will focus on IT, robotics and engineering, is designed to accommodate about 10,000 students.

The architecture and urban design firm Cooper Robertson has announced the debut of a bold, new campus facilities plan for the University of Maryland, a flagship public research university located just outside Washington, D.C. in College Park, Maryland, that the university hails as “a commitment to its holistic growth.”

The highly anticipated Collin College Wylie Campus spans approximately 100 acres and serves up to 7,500 students, plus faculty and staff. Academic courses focus on business, hospitality, fine arts, education, health sciences and core STEM programs.

The first day, which begins Monday April 26, is designated as “Industry Collaboration Day.”
