PAC International Inc. is introducing the new Resilient Sound Isolation Clip. Combined with 7/8-inch furring channel the assembly can achieve sound transmission class rating of 62 in wall assemblies and impact insulation class ratings of 82 in floor-ceiling assemblies that have been field tested. The RSIC-1 completed eight Riverbank Acoustical laboratory tests. Additional acoustical tests are scheduled for 2001 and 2002. The RSIC-1 is also approved on 139 UL assemblies.
