The EZ Block is designed to make installation of wood blocking in metal framing simple and easy. Simply cut the wood blocks 1/4-inch short of the opening between studs then screw one EZ Block to each wood block. Hook the block around the stud and secure with framing screws. Continue adding blocks as needed. All fastening locations are blind and screw heads will not protrude, allowing for a smooth wall. This installation method also stops stud travel since blocks can be undercut. The block can make up for 1/2-inch variance in block dimension. The product is made from light gauge metal framing stock.
