REPORT RECOGNIZES INSULATION PRODUCTS AS WRBs
A recent ICC report recognized Pactiv’s GreenGuard line of insulating products as meeting or exceeding code requirements as alternative water-resistive barriers. The report, which can be viewed at www.icc-es.org, covers PLYGOOD-Ultra insulation board, fanfold insulation board and insulative sheathings.
The report specifically recognizes the listed Pactiv’s GreenGuard products as compliant with the 2003 International Building and Residential Codes as WRBs under all exterior cladding. The findings apply to all new home construction and all remodeling/residing applications where the existing siding has been removed and wood sheathing is exposed.
“This report validates our stance that the GreenGuard line of fanfold and insulative sheathing products are part of a complete moisture management system,” said Dan Partrich, marketing manager for the Atlanta-based Building Products Division of Pactiv.
