The Northwest Wall and Ceiling Bureau (NWCB) has named Terry Kastner as technical consultant. He has extensive experience in the wall and ceiling industry and will provide services to NWCB members and to the architectural and construction communities. NWCB has also hired Krystal Bronson as office manager. The NWCB is a nonprofit construction trade association with headquarters in Seattle and local offices in Calgary, Alberta; Surrey, B. C., and Portland, Ore.

Parksite, Inc. a national building material distributor based in Batavia, Ill., announced the appointment of Chris Johnson as director of purchasing. Johnson has 22 years of experience in the building product distribution business and has been the firm’s representative actively involved with developing and refining DuPont Surface’s order fulfillment, demand planning systems and supply chain. Parksite Group represents DuPont Tyvek Weatherization Systems, Azek Trimboards, Procell PVC Decking, DuPont Corian, DuPont Zodiaq, Natural Stone (Granite) and Electrolux Appliances.

Structus Building Technologies, Inc. of Bend, Ore., has named Ben Lester product manager for its Levelline drywall corner trim. He is responsible for overseeing the continued growth of the Levelline brand domestically and internationally. He has held national sales and marketing management positions in the walls and ceilings industry for the past 14 years, and has a strong background in tool and equipment manufacturing.

Matthew Schron has been promoted to General Manager of Jergens Industrial Supply (JIS), a division of Cleveland-based Jergens, Inc. With Jergens for 14 years, Schron previously was product manager. In his new position, Mr. Schron will be responsible for all business operations for Jergens Industrial Supply. He earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing at Ohio University and a master’s at Cleveland State University. Jergens Industrial Supply distributes metalworking products in Ohio.

Powers Fasteners, Inc., manufacturer of concrete anchoring systems with headquarters in Brewster, N.Y, has promoted Michael Gaffigan to the new position of Director, Latin American Sales; and T.J. Bland and Mark Mamula as Branch Sales Managers for the state of Florida. A company official said the reorganization was made to meet demand for products in Florida, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.

Gaffigan joined Powers in 1994 and was a sales manager in Australia. He earned bachelor’s degrees from State University of New York and Manhattan College. Bland, who joined Powers in 2003, is responsible for sales in Southern Florida. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi.

Mamula joined Powers in 2001 after spending several years in the fasteners market. He is responsible for sales in Northern Florida.
