Gypsum Association Executive DirectorMichael A. Gardnerhas earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). The CAE is the highest professional credential in the association industry. Less than 5 percent of all association professionals have earned the CAE. To be designated as a CAE, an executive of a nonprofit group must complete a minimum of 75 hours of specialized professional development; pass a stringent examination in association management, and pledge to uphold a code of ethics. The ASAE has 22,000 members from 11,000 organizations.

Carol Kimmel-Schary, of Nathan Kimmel Co., has received the 2008 Enterprising Women of the Year Award from Enterprising Women Magazine. The award honors the country’s finest women entrepreneurs and their remarkable success. Nathan Kimmel Co. was founded more than 50 years ago and serves the general construction industry specializing in the area of walls and ceilings. Kimmel-Schary has owned and operated the company since 1996. Award winners were honored at a gala dinner Feb. 29 at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
