Economist and public policy commentator Peter Navarro will be the headline speaker at the Keynote Dinner for the 2009 California Steel Framing Forum and CFSEI National Annual Conference on May 20-21 in Anaheim, Calif. Navarro’s keynote presentation aims to help attendees become their own business cycle forecasters, capable of protecting their financial resources from the ups and downs of the business cycle and related stock market cycle.
Navarro’s presentation will take place at the Keynote Dinner, which commences at 6:30 p.m. the evening of May 21 at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. Anticipating key movements and turning points in the business cycle enables executives to apply a set of well-timed strategies and tactics to recession-proof an organization during down portions of the business cycle, and leverage opportunities when times are good. That is the premise of Navarro’s presentation “Always a Winner: Managing Companies & Money in an Up and Down Economy” which will form the core of his keynote presentation at the California Steel Framing Forum.
The 2009 California Forum includes numerous expert speakers and intensive training sessions on topics ranging from structural design, code changes, green building standards, rating systems and compliance, sound transmission issues, insulation, fire-rated assemblies and other essential topics in constructing structures for the 21st Century. The Steel Framing Alliance (SFA) is a passport provider of the American Institute of Architects (AIA)/Continuing Education System (CES) program and participants will have the opportunity to earn up to 11.25 Learning Units. Professional Development Hours (PDH) will also be offered.
The California Steel Framing Alliance (CASFA), and the Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute (CFSEI), the technical council of the SFA, are hosting the Forum and Conference with sponsorship provided by Simpson Strong-Tie, Inc., Dietrich Metal Framing, International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials – Evaluation Service (IAPMO-ES), CEMCO and TrusSteel, An ITW Company.
