The Hilti X-CW is a ceiling wire assembly that allows for the installer to safely connect ceiling wire hangers to the ceiling supporting structure with one simple and consistent installation step. This design incorporates a pre-mounted low-velocity powder-actuated fastener, either X-U Universal or X-C type, with specially designed steel clamping washer and a 12-gauge ceiling wire. The X-CW comes standard with the X-CW-C fastener, and building professionals can upgrade their X-CW ceiling wire assemblies with the premium X-CW-U fastener. When used in conjunction with the CT base plate, the design of the X-CW ceiling wire assembly greatly improves the handling process and increases productivity. And, installing these new ceiling wire assemblies with the DX-351 CT system provides strong fastening in various base materials.
