The 2012 Annual Convention and Trade Show of the Insulation Contractors Association of America will be held from October 4 through 6 at the Hyatt Regency Dallas. This year’s theme, “A Home for All Seasons,” emphasizes the goal of ICAA-member contractors to provide efficient, economic, and environmentally responsible insulation service.

The show is a once-a-year opportunity for suppliers and contractors to network and talk business. The three-day meeting features educational programs that target new technology, essential business skills, and ever-changing industry regulations and opportunities. Featured Convention programs are selected because they have the greatest impact on the insulation industry.

ICAA anticipates a record participation of 2012 Trade Show exhibitors who will display an impressive diversity of insulation products and services. This year the spray foam industry has outstanding representation among exhibitors with companies from across the country displaying new products and innovations. Of particular interest to spray foam contractors will be sessions entitled Maximizing the Efficiency of the Spray Foam Job, Spray Polyurethane Foam Health & Safety Program Update, and Work Smart with Low Pressure Spray Polyurethane Foam.

This year’s educational programs are outstanding. The nuts and bolts of running an insulation business will be explored in sessions on handling financial statements, vehicle tracking, insulation job costing, the 2012 Energy Code, determining a fair price, human resource issues, social media’s impact, and the skills required to successfully close a deal. The annual Legislative Roundup will put the past year on Capitol Hill in perspective and project what we can expect after the election. Again this year the popular ICAA-member panels will share successful practices as well as mistakes to be avoided.
