ClarkDietrich Building Systems announced that it has received a Code Compliance Research Report (CCRR) from Architectural Testing Inc. (ATI) for its ProSTUD Drywall Framing System (ProSTUD and ProTRAK). The report, CCRR-0207, confirms the system’s compliance with the 2012 International Building Code, 2012 International Residential Code and the 2013 California and 2010 Florida Building Codes.
The in-depth report verifies the structural properties and allowable composite limiting heights of the ProSTUD system. In addition, the report makes it clear that the ProSTUD Equivalent (EQ) Coatings of Eco-Green ChemGuard 315, ChemGuard 615 or TecCoat Brugal Framecoat are equivalent or superior to ASTM A653 G40 hot dipped galvanized coatings per ASTM C645.
“The issuance of the Code Compliance Research Report confirms that ClarkDietrich drywall framing products are manufactured to the strictest of quality guidelines and meet stringent building code requirements,” said Bill Courtney, CEO, ClarkDietrich Building Systems. “In fact, no other drywall framing system has been as thoroughly tested as the ProSTUD System. Architects that specify the system can be confident that their projects have the highest performing steel stud on the market.”
The patented ProSTUD Drywall Framing System combines innovative design with high-strength steel that sets the industry benchmark for high-performance drywall framing. The diamond embossed web creates stiffness, thereby reducing flange fade and screw spinout during drywall installation. The strong, lightweight stud and track also cuts and handles easier than conventional flat studs.
Architectural Testing Evaluation Services introduced the CCRR in 2005 as a qualified alternative to an ICC-ES Evaluation Report. The conclusions of a CCRR are backed by review of the manufacturer’s quality control system, inspection of the manufacturing facilities, and independent laboratory testing. ATI’s Evaluation Services are accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
