Full Line of Pneumatic Nailers and Staplers

Comprehensive Range of Nailers, Fasteners, and Compressors Offers Solutions for Most Fastening Applications.

May 13, 2015

DEWALT’s new line includes 11 pneumatic nailers and staplers for a wide variety of fastening applications, finishing, framing, siding, and more. Lightweight and compact with premium features, this line provides the user with the optimal range of fastening solutions, all of which are Guaranteed Tough.

Finishing Nailers

The collection of pneumatic finish nailers includes an 18 GA Brad Nailer (DWFP12233), 16 GA Finish Nailer (DWFP71917), and 15 GA “DA” Style Angle Finish Nailer (DWFP72155). The 18 GA Brad Nailer is ideal for decorative trim, shoe molding, and cabinet crown. The 16 GA Finish Nailer works best on baseboard, window /door casing, and for furniture assembly. Finally, the 15 GA “DA” Style Angle Finish Nailer is optimized for crown molding, window /door casing, and as a starter tool for hardwood flooring.

Each of these nailers features Precision Point Technology, which provides easier nail placement through a smaller nose footprint. This is achieved via a smaller nose than the current offering of nailers, providing the user with a clear line of sight of the work surface. Precision Point Technology also reduces the chance of damaged work by eliminating the need to push against the material to actuate the tool.

Each of these finishing nailers features a simple two step selectable trigger system that changes its actuation mode from single fire to bump. At less than four pounds each, these nailers are lightweight, well-balanced, and comfortable to hold during long use. Designed for oil-free operation, they eliminate the risk of oil stains, and are equipped with bumpers for protection of the work surface, a tool-free jam release, adjustable belt hook, rear exhaust, Dial-a-Depth control, integrated pencil sharpener, an air blower (15 GA only), and 16 inch on-center gauge (15 GA only). In addition, a swivel air fitting reduces hose interference. The new finish nailers will come with a carrying case and sample fasteners.

Finish Stapler

Part of the new line is the 18 GA Finish Stapler (DWFP1838) which is ideal for floor underlayment, furniture paneling, and frame assembly. The 18 GA Finish Stapler drives 18 GA staples with a ¼-inch crown from ½-inch to 1-1/2-inch length. Designed for oil-free operation, this stapler eliminates the risk of oil stains. Features of the DWFP1838 include tool-free depth control via a thumbwheel designed for quick and easy depth setting, a rear exhaust that directs air away from the user, and a selectable trigger system which can be set to sequential or contact operation. The 18 GA Finish Stapler includes a reversible belt hook, a carrying case, a ¼-inch swivel air fitting, and sample fasteners.

Construction Tools

The new line features pneumatic nailers and staplers designed for framing, siding, and metal connector applications. The pneumatic construction nailers are led by the Metal Connector Nailer (DWMC150). At just 10 ½-inches tall and 4.6 pounds, this nailer’s compact and lightweight design allows it to fit comfortably in tight spaces, corners, and between 12-inch on-center joists. The Metal Connector Nailer’s exposed tip design puts the nail tip in the hole before firing, allowing for optimal speed and accuracy.

Each of the construction nailers is compact, lightweight, and ergonomic yet durable. They provide ease of use features like tool-free selectable triggers. See the full list of construction nailers in the chart below.

Fasteners and Compressors

To complement this line of nailers, the product offers a full line of fasteners and compressors. Compatible fasteners include 18 Gauge Brads, 18 Gauge Narrow Crown Staples, 16 Gauge Straight Finish Nails, 16 Gauge Angled Finish Nails, 15 Gauge “DA” Angled Finish Nails, 15 degrees Coil Framing Nails, 15 degrees Coil Siding Nails, Metal Connector Nails, 21 degrees Plastic Collated Framing Nails, 30 degrees Paper Tape Collated Framing Nails, 16 Gauge Lathing Staples, and Caps & Staples.

Two of the jobsite compressors are the 2.5 Gallon 200 Max PSI Quiet Trim Compressor (DWFP55130) and 4.5 Gallon 200 Max PSI Jobsite Compressor (D55146).

The 2.5 Gallon 200 Max PSI Quiet Trim Compressor (DWFP55130) delivers 3.0 SCFM @ 90 PSI (tested per ISO 1217) and includes a durable oil-free pump that provides extended maintenance-free operation. At only 71.5 dBA (measured per ISO 3744), the Quiet Trim Compressor is 50 percent quieter than the PORTER-CABLE pancake style compressor. Measuring only 14-inches and weighing 36 pounds, it has a slim profile and can be operated and stored vertically or horizontally.

The 4.5 Gallon 200 Max PSI Jobsite Compressor (D55146) also includes a durable oil-free pump that provides extended maintenance-free operation and has a belt-driven universal motor. The D55146 delivers 5.0 SCFM @ 90 PSI (tested per ISO 1217) and offers 1.6 continuous horsepower and has wheels for easy transport.
