CertainTeed and its parent company Saint-Gobain officially kicked off the 10th Saint-Gobain Gypsum International Trophy campaign in June 2015. The biennial gypsum industry event recognizes world class skills in drywall technology and plastering, and rewards contractors for their contribution to innovation in the industry. The award ceremony will be held in Prague, June of 2016.

National selections and trophies are underway and will continue into early of 2016. To find out how to enter into the competition, visit the official website. Winners of the regional and national competitions will proceed to compete in one of the following six International Trophy categories:

  • Gypsum Board Craftsmanship and Design
  • Finishing Application
  • Innovation
  • Residential
  • Mixed Use – Commercial including Hospitality and Retail
  • Sector Specific – Hospitals, Hotels and Educational Institutions

Judges for these categories will be announced in March.

The Ninth Gypsum International Trophy Awards took place June 2014 in Berlin. The winners of each category are as follows:

•    COMMERCIAL CATEGORY WINNER: Cradlestone Mall, Johannesburg (South Africa)
•    COMMERCIAL CATEGORY RUNNER-UP: El Faro Shopping Mall, Extremadura (Spain)
•    INNOVATION & SUSTAINABILITY WINNER: Casino 2000, Mondorf-les-Bains (France)
•    INNOVATION & SUSTAINABILITY RUNNER-UP: "My Green Kentucky Home," Kentucky (USA)
•    RESIDENTIAL CATEGORY WINNER: Marsan Residence, Valladolid (Spain)
•    RESIDENTIAL CATEGORY RUNNER-UP: Brunsfield Residence @ U-Thant, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)
