Bostik, Inc., one of the world’s largest manufacturers of adhesives and sealants, has announced that Michael Zaccardelli has joined the firm’s Consumer & Construction Business Unit as sales director for North America.

“We looked extensively before finally deciding upon Michael Zaccardelli,” stated Mike Jenkins, Bostik’s business director, Consumer & Construction Business Unit for the Americas. “He will immediately lead the Pro Distribution business with Rick Tredwell and Brian Kelly, our regional sales managers, reporting to him.  His focus will be to work with the Pro Distribution team in the United States and Canada to fully leverage our organizational resources and tools toward achievement of our annual sales plan. Additionally, Mike and team will build out our long-term sales strategy to align with our business mission to drive double-digit annual growth.”

Zaccardelli comes to Bostik with major building materials experience, after spending 17 years with Knauf Insulation. He started out for that firm as a salesperson, moving on to become marketing manager and ultimately, National Sales Manager. “I’ve been fortunate to be on great teams with dynamic and forward-minded people,” he stated. “I believe that all sales involve offering customers not just product, but strong business solutions. To be a good salesperson, one must first be a good listener.”

Originally from Ohio, Zaccardelli entered the business area, bringing his engineering degree to U.S. Gypsum, where he worked for eleven years. “Throughout my career, I’ve learned that working with a strategic business plan, works,” he stated. “We want to build long-term, well thought-out relationships with progressive customers. Bostik is a great fit for me, as the company’s overall product and program offerings are second to none. The national sales team is already very good; my goal is to work hard to make it even better. We intend to grow.”
