CertainTeed Wins Awards for Gypsum EPD Campaign

CertainTeed Gypsum recently garnered two awards by Architectural Record at its 2016 Advertising Excellence Awards. The publication annually recognizes the most effective ads viewed by building and design professionals in its magazine. Awards are presented at a breakfast during the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Convention and Expo.
Advertisers in the first three issues of the 2016 editions of Architectural Record in print or online (full page or greater) were qualified. The ads are reviewed by a jury of esteemed architects for both visual appeal as well as effective messaging. CertainTeed Gypsum won for its integrated campaign and single ad promoting Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).
CertainTeed’s campaign, “Information is Power,” conveyed the company’s dedication to transparency and the tools’ ease of use to the architectural audience, while also seeking to educate and empower the audience to stay informed. The single ad pairs the power of knowledge with visuals of books and barbells to show the strength of working with CertainTeed, an innovative leader in sustainable gypsum products featuring EPDs.
The campaign was developed to show CertainTeed as a partner in helping architects make smart and knowledgeable choices. The integrated campaign launched with an ad followed by a video, direct mail and an iBook CEU. The interactive and graphic nature of the CEU course content simplifies technical specification information to help architects make the right gypsum product choice.
