At the 2017 AWCI Awards Brunch, F.L. Crane & Sons’ president Mike Heering was honored with the Pinnacle Award. The AWCI Pinnacle Award is given to an individual who most merits the industry's highest recognition. The recipient of this award has given time and energy unselfishly for the benefit of AWCI and the industry, and who exhibits family dedication and commitment to community.

A Michigan native, Heering moved to Mississippi in the early 1970s and soon found favor with the Crane family. Ever since, he has become a formidable force at F.L. Crane and Sons in Fulton, Miss., as well as within the industry.

Family, friends, colleagues and industry personnel laid testament to Heering’s outstanding contribution to the industry during a video feature produced by AWCI.

No stranger to Walls & Ceilings’ readers, Heering was part of the 2012 National Gypsum roundtable in Charlotte as well as the cover star in 2015. The magazine congratulates Heering on this award.
