Blade Ceilings

Armstrong Ceiling Solutions

The company has added two new blade lengths to its line of MetalWorks Blades—Classics. The durable new vertical panels will measure 24 and 48 inches in length and offer an upscale linear look along with excellent acoustical performance. Classics are available as perforated or unperforated panels. MetalWorks Blades with a standard perforation pattern provide 0.3 sabins of sound absorption per linear foot. The blades actually provide greater sound absorption than a continuous ceiling of the same surface area because sound is absorbed on both sides. The panels are available in nine standard colors. Made from durable aluminum for lighter, easier handling, the blades are easily installed on a standard 15/16-inch Prelude suspension system, are seismic tested, and have a Class A fire rating. For additional information, visit armstrongceilings.com/blades-classics.

Double Reveal System

Rockfon

The Integrity 4200 double reveal ceiling system offers a high-end look with the smooth, white surface of the company’s acoustic stone wool panels. The new grid system is ideal for museums, art galleries, hotels, event spaces, hospital lounges, office lobbies, retail centers, airports and other high-profile interiors. The panels with a square tegular narrow edge are mounted in the new Integrity 4200 Series 9/16-inch exposed suspension system. The panels rest flush with the center bar of the grid profile to produce the double reveal.

The suspension system’s stab-end cross-tees save labor and time during installation. For information, visit rockfon.com.

Decorative Wall and Ceiling Panels

Ceilume

The company's decorative panels are made in a wide range of styles—from traditional to contemporary. Two new styles, designed especially for wall covering, will be introduced soon. They feature overlap joints that improve appearance and simplify installation.

All panels are available in a palette of solid colors, plus faux wood-grain and metallic finishes. Three grades of light-transmitting panels, translucent, frosted, and clear, are especially popular for rear-illuminated partitions, merchandising displays, and stage sets. Made from thermoplastic, the thin panels are robust, lightweight, easy to install, and GreenGuard Gold certified of low VOC emissions. Another innovation being introduced are prefinished panels with 98-percent recycled content. For more information, visit ceilume.com.

Customizable Ceiling Panels

Hunter Douglas

Techstyle Graphic Customizable Acoustical Ceilings break traditional boundaries of design with a curated, customizable palette of color and design options for the ceiling plane. The panels offer organic, abstract and geometric patterns that can be re-colored to fit the design of any room. Wood patterns and custom colors are also available. Beyond aesthetic versatility, the panels feature a lightweight honeycomb design that absorbs both high and low frequencies for superior acoustical performance (NRC=0.85), Class A Fire Rating, GreenGuard Gold Certification, easy integration with lighting and diffusers and panel sizes up to 24 inch by 96 inch and 48 inch by 72 inch. To learn more, visit HDarchitectural.com.

Custom Acoustical Panels

Lamvin

The company recently introduced the technology and capability to develop uniquely shaped panels that meet the desired design aesthetics and the necessary sound dampening qualities required by architects, contractors and facility managers. Through proprietary cutting methods and the development of new material application techniques, acoustical panels can be cut into unique shapes and models and covered with distinctive prints, colors and designs. From basic panel options, to original, creative noise control solutions limited only by one’s imagination. The company distributes these acoustical products throughout the world. For more information, visit lamvin.com.

Suspension Systems

CertainTeed Ceilings

The company’s EZ Stab Bolt Slot and EZ Stab Tier Drop suspension systems provide increased strength and stability for quick and easy ceiling grid installation, while offering attractive profiles for standard and customized acoustical ceiling panels. The EZ Stab clip technology allows for consistent stability for a smoother installation and is manufactured entirely from stainless steel with staggered rivet holes that significantly helps reduce twisting. The Bolt Slot system comes in 1/4- and 1/8-inch reveal widths and creates an attractive 3-D effect in the open space between panels, while the Tier Drop system features a 3/16-inch wide center bulb to create a double 1/8-inch wide reveal. Both are available in standard white, with custom colors available upon request. For more information, visit certainteed.com/commercial-ceilings.

Snap-in Ceiling System

USG Corp.

Celebration Snap-In Metal Ceiling System provides a clean, monolithic appearance while combining it with the corrosion resistance of aluminum. The Celebration snaps into standard USG Donn Brand Fineline Ceiling suspension systems, is excellent for exterior soffits, and its air diffuser offers one of the finest visual delivery systems in the industry. The product is wind-load tested up to 200 mph, and it’s been recognized with a Notice of Acceptance from Miami-Dade County in Florida for being a distinguished exterior ceiling system that meets the most stringent standards for the protection of buildings and the people in them. For more information, visit usg.com.

Corner Trim

Trim-Tex Co.

Angle Master is the newest ceiling-finishing product from the company. The 3¼-inch wide flexible trim is engineered to fit any angled corner, and is available in 100-foot rolls making it ideal for finishing long soffits and off angle ceilings. The product’s paperless vinyl material holds its shape for a clean crisp inside or outside corner with no waves, no blisters and no paper to fuzz. Simply press Angle Master into place, clean excess compound and let dry before applying a skim coat and final sanding. For more information, visit trim-tex.com.
