Hilti has introduced its new battery-actuated BX 3-A22 02 direct fastening tool. Powered by a brushless motor and Hilti’s standard 22V battery, its designed for drywall contractors’ use in fastening interior track to concrete and steel, and for fastening waterproofing membrane to concrete.

The Hilti BX 3-A22 02 uses “spring-belt” technology to store and transmit energy, and to provide speed and productivity comparable to propellant- and powder-actuated tools — without the hassle of gas cans or cartridge disposal. A lower recoil compared to gas-actuated tools helps reduce operator fatigue. And, the “spring-belt” technology does not cause the same wear and tear on the piston as flywheel technology does, resulting in longer tool life.

The Hilti BX 3-A22 02 delivers reliable fastening quality and a lower noise level for use in occupied spaces. It backs up its powerful punch with a number of upgrades (compared to Hilti’s original BX 3 direct fastening tool), including an enhanced magazine capacity of 30 nails, a 30 percent increase in speed and extended battery reach. It also offers a long list of smart features, such as refill indication, standby mode and Bluetooth connectivity to the Hilti Connect app, which provides instant access to tool usage date.

The Hilti battery-actuated BX 3-A22 02 direct fastening tool is covered by the Hilti Tool Warranty 20/2/1 — 20 years of repair or replacement of defective parts; 2 years no cost repair including wear and tear; and a guaranteed 1-day turnaround on repairs. *
