Miller Fabrication Solutions was named Employer of the Year for Indiana County by the Tri-County Workforce Investment Board. The award highlights the collaboration of business and workforce development in TCWIB’s three counties and recognizes an employer in each county that has significantly contributed to the region’s workforce development system.

Miller, a strategic metal fabricator for global original equipment manufacturers, was acknowledged as a vital part of the Indiana County Manufacturing Consortium and for its leadership in discussions about how the manufacturing industry can be sustainable, future-proof and nimble in addressing supply chain and demand challenges.

Miller also has been active in youth pipeline development, working with the Indiana Area School District and on Catalyst Connection’s “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?” project. The company awards scholarships to local students planning to work in or advocate for the manufacturing industry after they graduate from college.

“Miller Fabrication Solutions is grateful to have been part of the fabric of the tri-county region for the past 15 years and of Western Pennsylvania for almost 60 years,” said Dave Miller, chairman of the board. “As a long-time area manufacturing company, our purpose is to improve the lives of our customers, employees, suppliers and community. We have consistently seen the value of industry partnerships and workforce development in helping to fulfill that purpose and lift up our entire community.

“We’ll continue partnering with other businesses and organizations to address common workforce challenges,” Miller continued. “And, as a major employer in the region, we’ll keep working to provide significant job opportunities and training so that more young people can advance in their careers while staying in our community.”

Miller has about 400 employees across three plant locations and around 500,000 square feet in floor space. The parts the company makes for OEMs in transportation, agriculture, construction and other industries are deployed in heavy equipment used both domestically and around the world.
